What is Label Down?

A few years ago, we tried to start it. We even named it Label Down. We just hadn’t “done” it yet. We hadn’t done the dirty work, the due diligence to see what exactly it needed to be. In 2023, we did. Nash Bash took on the role of both content creator and booking agency. Unfortunately (and fortunately), the two worlds don’t always represent the same thing. We have a lot of first-timers at Nash Bash. We have a lot of first-timers in rounds. We allow pretty much anyone to give it a go. However, that is a very different mission than The Circuit has been; which has been geared towards providing venues with stellar music programs. Both missions were solving different problems for different people, so we decided we should brand them a bit differently, so they can stand alone.

The honest truth is… Nash Bash has been and should be about creating great content. Awesome parties, fun times, partying, photos, videos, writer’s rounds, all the fun stuff. The Circuit has become a real place for musicians to draw income off of, and - to be honest, this takes a lot more deliberating from a booking agent. Giving someone 3 songs on stage is VERY different from 3 hours. Giving someone a shot is very different from giving someone “a job.”

We want both parties to be respected, right? And they’ve been serving two different missions simultaneously this past year. It’s time for them to part, so that we can give a clearer picture to both new artists and the more experienced artists who are ready for big gigs + making big $.
