What’s the deal with nash bash?
We are a community that focuses on capturing relevant content to expand music careers online; whether that be in an EPK, pitch email (to get shows), social media, or album covers or content for pro distribution.
We accomplish this via Themed Shoots, Shows, Personal Coaching, & Solo Content Days. You can get Videos, Reels, Album Shoots, & or attend Group Events to help spur your music biz. We also throw Single/EP/Album Release Parties/Showcases and host a weekly Writer’s Round at Alley Taps. We try to takeover 1-2 other shows per month as well. Nash Bash is great place for new artists to break onto the scene, play rounds, and get content doing it.
Q: How can I be a member?
A: If you have not attended a Nash Bash event, you can apply here. If you have, DM @nashbashcollective if you do not have your personalized code to join.
Q: Can anyone play any shows?
A: Yes and No. Everyone gets one first chance, no matter what… but we will approve if we believe that you’d be a good fit for playing in our program long term.
Q: Can anyone attend themed photoshoots?
A: Yes. You can sign up for your membership HERE.
Q: Do I have to pay?
A: I don’t know, do you like having this website? It costs money. Do you like joining friends for a photoshoot? Someone has to help pay for the $10,000+ worth of equipment needed (and updated) each year, about 15 different monthly subscriptions (Lightroom, flodesk, zoom, calendly, dubsado, slack, etc.), experience, hosting, coaching, hand-holding, video creation, marketing, emailing, copywriting. Nash Bash has no sponsors, it is musician led and run. Many of the resources online are free, but funded by the photoshoots, video shoots, coaching, and hosting. There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch and if you want to be valued as an artist, you need to value the hard work of those who are helping you as well. Got a sponsor for us? Cool! You will never have to PAY to play a show unless you are receiving CONTENT for playing. We reserve most of our slots for those who want content, but if you stay up-to-date with our stories on Insta, we always have slots open for those who just want to play. If you are rude though, you won’t be considered. If you don’t see the value in the content, you probably wouldn’t be a good fit for us anyways.
Q: What qualifications does Chelsea have?
A: Besides being a published author (Get The 2-Week Startup here), a booking agent (who has booked over 500 paid shows for musicians, put over 200 people on stage for their first Nashville show), and a writer’s round host, she has also been a professional photographer for over 15 years. She started her official business when she was 16, but started dark room photography in middle school - when she was 12. Chelsea is also Mama to twin 2 year olds. She’s also a musician (she sang the national anthem at every game and performed an original song at her high school graduation), but has no plans on touring - just loves to write. She’s worked with celebrity songwriters (like Trannie Anderson), celebrity wives (live Caleigh Hardy), and up-and-coming stars with label deals (like Taylor Austin Dye). She is in her 5th year in Nashville and has spent most of it learning how the business works, writing and publishing content to help musicians, and providing well over 100,000 edited photos to musicians.
